Abstract

Several plant extracts have potential fitoxicidez seeds and sprouts , so the assessment of isoenzymes is an important tool in assessing the quality of the seed . The aim of this study was to evaluate the effect of extracts of two species of the family Araceae ( Philodendron bipinnatifidum and Zantedeschia aethiopica ) on the expression of isozymes of seeds and seedlings of red rice . The concentrations of the extracts were 0, 12, 25, 50 and 75%. Were evaluated in stages : seed, first count and germination test . The expression of esterase isoenzymes , acid phosphatase , and glutamate oxaloacetate transaminase peroxidase was determined by vertical electrophoresis system polyacrylamide gel and interpretation of the results was by visual analysis of the gels . The extracts of the species of the family Araceae altered isozyme expression , and the intensity and number of bands with variable concentration and the stage of evaluation.
