DETERMINING THE SPEED OF Ní ?? PLOIDí ?? MS cupuaçuzeiro WITHOUT SEEDS
Abstract
The objective of this study is to determine ploidy of aspérmico cupuaçuzeiro. The counting of chromosomes was carried out in the subapical meristem cells from the ends of the branches, because this tissue has large cells that allow better spreading of the chromosomes and facilitate counting. The cupuaçu is a natural seedless triploid with 30 chromosomes. The chloroplasts and size of guard cells and the thickness of the sheets is in accordance with the state of cupuaçuzeiro of triploid seedless fruits. This suggests that natural triploidy new aspérmicos triploids can be obtained from crosses between diploid and tetraploid induced by colchicine, whose presumed advantages are discussed.Downloads
