Fonsecalges johnjadini Fain, 1962 (ACARI: PSOROPTIDAE, CEBALGINAE) PARASITANDO PRIMATAS NÃO-HUMANOS NO CENTRO NACIONAL DE PRIMATAS EM BELÉM – PARÁ, BRASIL
Abstract
Foram coletados ácaros do conduto auditivo em símios da espécie Saimiri sciureus (L., 1758), Callithrix geoffroyi (Humboldt, 1812) e Callithrix penicillata (Geoffroy, 1812) do Centro Nacional de Primatas-CNP- em Belém, Estado do Pará, sendo identificados a Fonsecalges johnjadini Fain, 1962 (Psoroptidae, Cebalginae). O trabalho enfatiza a importância do conhecimento sobre os ectoparasitos em primatas para o bem-estar animal e a preocupação com a saúde pública, pois muitos desses primatas são considerados como reservatórios de bioagentes de zoonoses. Este é o primeiro registro deste parasito nessas espécies de primatas.Downloads
