FACTOR ANALYSIS IN APPLIED AGROFORESTRY SYSTEMS AND TRADITIONAL PRODUCTION SYSTEMS. THOMAS-AÇU, TO, 2001-2003
Abstract
The study uses factor analysis to verify the determinants of production in agroforestry (SAF) and traditional agricultural production systems (ST), under conditions of risk, small and medium Japanese-Brazilian production units located in the municipality Let us take Acu, for the period 2001 to 2003 the results of the factor analysis showed that the rational production factor had a positive influence on the gross value of production (GVP) of the systems analyzed, but it was also a source of risk in these systems. 0 product competitiveness factor also contributed positively to the production and did not constitute a risk factor SAF and ST. These results suggest that the process of expansion of SAF and traditional systems must be preceded by a review by research and producer on the planning and use of combined factors rational production and product competitiveness, so as to adjust the use of these resources in combination with others in order to improve the economic production and reduce the risk of the systems analyzed. Under current conditions, the producers do not expand production are risk averse.Downloads
