ISOLAMENTO DE Brucella sp EM PRODUTOS DE ORIGEM ANIMAL E SIGNIFICADO EM SAÚDE PÚBLICA
Abstract
Com o objetivo de detectar a presença de Brucella sp em produtos de origem animal expostos ao consumo, 29 amostras de derivados do leite e carne, entre os quais alguns de origem desconhecida, foram submetidas ao diagnóstico biológico em cobaia e isolamento em meios de cultura, conforme metodologias rotineiras recomendadas. Onze cepas de Brucella sp foram isoladas nos produtos analisados, sendo três em queijo do tipo prato, trêz em queijo de coalhada crua, três em queijo de coalhada cozida e duas em linguiça do tipo frescal. Esses resultados representam um risco potencial para a saúde pública e demandam major rigor na vigilância sanitária de produtos expostos ao consumo.
